Biography
Keith comes from a family filled with musical talent. His grandfather was a concert pianist and church organist. His father
played drums and guitar, and taught well into his eighties. With five drummers in his immediate family, it's easy to understand
his love for music. Performing nationally with Deanna Bogart and others, Keith has shared the
stage with many well-known acts such as: Johnny Winter, Grover Washington Jr., Bela Fleck, Brooks and Dunn, Elvin Bishop and
Kathy Mattea. His recordings include Jimmy Buffet's Margaritaville Caf'e with Deanna
Bogart, four CD's for Korean producer Gee Kim, three CD's with Royce Campbell, Rounder records recording artists
Kathy Fink and Marcie Marxer, and the Barry Gurley trio. He has performed on radio, television, and played on soundtracks
for America's Most Wanted, TBS, National Geographic, and the Discovery Channel.
He has worked locally with recording artists whose music ranges from jazz and funk to blues and country. Some of these area
notables are: Mary Ann Redmond, Al Williams, Tim Eyermann, Tommy Lepson, Rick Whitehead, Bruce Middle, and the late Danny
Gatton. Keith studied drums with Simon Snyder and Joe Morello,
guitar with Larry Wooldrige and Pat Martino, and Tabla with Subash Karmarkar. He plays and endorses Maryland Drum, Bosphorus cymbals, Vic Firth sticks and is a member of the Vic Firth
